Life Drain is an application of magic, usually Necromancy or Blood Magic, that tends to cripple, weaken, or otherwise disparage enemies without flashy effects. At most, a Life Draining spell will manifest itself as a ray of light or darkness.
Most life-draining spells will cause severe pain in the target, and some even directly transfer some of the target's "Life Force" into the caster.
